On our recent holiday to Northumberland and Durham we were lucky enough to have the services and the company of your guide Tom Keating and I am writing to congratulate you on having the services of such an excellent guide. Throughout our tours he was most informative, interesting and fluent, never at a loss for answering questions and a great enthusiast for his subject. He was also a man of sentiment and he held our attention from beginning to end.

The Newcastle City tour was so popular and we were delighted that you accompanied our tours into Northumberland to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle. Our family day trip from the cruise ship Zuiderdam docked in Newcastle, was the highlight of our cruise. We wanted to see countryside and beautiful landscapes. You took us into the hills of the North Pennines, saying it was an area of outstanding natural beauty and it certainly was. The landscapes, geology and wildlife are special there. We loved your stories of life and the people in the areas. We will always remember the beautiful village of Blanchland and visiting a 12th century Abbey Church. It was mindblowing for us, and the White Monk tea room so charming, welcoming and historic. You really made our time there. You are such a great guide and very passionate about where you live. You truly are an Ambassador for your beautiful part of our world.
For our Northumbria Holiday Group Visit we were so pleased to be accompanied by our “excellent, informative and entertaining Blue Badge Guide Tom Keating”. The tours included Newcastle, Hadrian’s Wall and Hexham, Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. Our group voted for Beamish as the highlight attraction of their tour, along with Tom of course.
The Group Organiser was very happy with everything. The passengers were complimentary of the whole two days and said the coastline of South Shields to Sunderland was stunning. They never realised it was like that. Thank you for putting the Itinerary together.
