I am being inundated with Emails & thank you cards from our Group. All with one theme "Congratulations, Well Done" & "when can we go again?" As you say, they fell in love with North East England. You did say they would! Thank you for your contribution to a very successful holiday.

We enjoyed a most interesting walking tour of Durham City and Cathedral with Tom Keating. His love of the Cathedral showed throughout our visit. We were lucky to have him also for our tours to Segedunum Roman Fort. He pointed out so much of interest with a brilliant commentary on the excavations and bath house. En-route to Kielder Water he told us fascinating stories about the Border Reivers. You should know how much our party appreciated Tom Keating. He is one of the best guides we have ever had. He should be an Ambassador.

Both days could not have gone better. Our group has some great characters, full of interest and lovely questions and they could not have been more complimentary. They loved the city and the Durham Dales with Barnard Castle and High Force. The tour to Hexham, Chesters, The Wall and Blanchland was superb, with glorious weather.

Hi Tom, I so appreciate everything from you – thank you.  You have been amazing to deal with and you did so much preliminary work to ensure the smooth running of the groups time with you and for them to have the best possible experience. I am so pleased everything went according to plan. My Group Leaders have said the tour of the Roman Fort site was excellent with lots of questions and lunching arrangements were perfect. Thank you also for putting them on the quickest route North. We will be in touch to work with you again.

All of our U3A group wish to say thank you for the city walk around Newcastle. You made it so interesting and certainly looked after us so well. The river and bridges views were a highlight for many of us but also the architecture of many of your beautiful buildings. We will remember Earl Grey and Lord Eldon and also now, how your city got its name!

On our recent holiday to Northumberland and Durham we were lucky enough to have the services and the company of your guide Tom Keating and I am writing to congratulate you on having the services of such an excellent guide. Throughout our tours he was most informative, interesting and fluent, never at a loss for answering questions and a great enthusiast for his subject. He was also a man of sentiment and he held our attention from beginning to end.
